How it works

From your address to your answer in 24 hours

01
Your part

Address and consent

Give us your address, then consent to us reading your smart meter using a code from your in-home display. No forms about your usage, no home visit, no salesperson.

02
Once your data is in

We model your home

Your supplier releases your half-hourly data, usually within hours, sometimes a couple of days. Then a person runs your roof, your usage pattern, your tariff options and your local export rates through our model, then checks the output before it goes anywhere. Real data for your property, not a sales calculator.

03
Within 24 hours

Your report lands

A plain-English report telling you what to do, what to skip, what each option saves you a year, and how long it takes to pay back.

The work

Independent modelling, household by household.

Home Transition Case Study
Install underway, tech selected
£3,213/ yr

Projected annual saving · 52% of current bill

Case study, Surrey

The fix was not more solar. It was when they bought electricity.

  • New-build home, 2024
  • One EV, one PHEV
  • All-electric (3× ASHPs, 2× e-boilers)

All-electric, no gas, three heat pumps, an EV and a PHEV. Costing more than £6,000 a year. The modelled answer was a battery sized to the load, charged overnight on a smart tariff.

Install complete
the battery's saving, vs the solar's

£1,798 / yr estimated saving · 5.5 year payback

Case study, Berkshire

The technologies were right. The order was the regret.

  • Berkshire home (RG8)
  • 8 kWp solar array, installed first
  • We recommended a battery install followed

Solar first, battery a year later. By charging cheaply overnight, the battery delivered roughly three times the financial work of the panels alone.

FAQ

Common questions

What do I need to give you?

Two things. Your address, and your consent for us to read your smart meter. Consent is confirmed with a code from your in-home display, so have that within reach when you book. That is it: no bills to dig out, no usage forms. Your supplier then releases your half-hourly data to us, and we get to work as soon as it lands.

What if I don't have a smart meter?

You can still book. Tell us when you do, and we work from your last 12-month electricity bill total plus a few details about your home and routine. The modelling is less precise than with half-hourly data, so if you can get a smart meter fitted first, the report will be sharper for it.

Do you need to visit my home?

No. We work remotely from your smart-meter data, your property's EPC record and what you tell us about your home. That keeps the cost down and the turnaround short.

What do I actually receive?

A private web link to your report, emailed to you. Not a PDF to lose in a downloads folder and not a dashboard you have to log into: a page you can open on your phone, send to your partner, and come back to when you are ready to act. It doesn't expire.

Is it automated, or does a person do it?

A person. We use our own model to do the number-crunching, but a human runs it for your property and checks the output before anything is sent. That is why it takes hours rather than seconds.

How long does the report take?

Within 24 hours of your smart-meter data arriving. Giving consent takes moments, but your supplier can take anywhere from a few hours to a couple of days to release the data, and that part is outside our control. If we are ever running behind on our side, the booking page says so before you pay, not after.

What's the difference between the free EPC snapshot and the Home Assessment?

The free EPC snapshot (we call it the Energy Data Report) is built from your property's public EPC record and needs nothing but your address. It's a useful first look, but it knows nothing about how you actually use energy. The Home Assessment is the main thing we do: we model your real usage, your roof, your tariff and your plans, then tell you what's worth doing, what isn't, what each option saves you a year, and how long it takes to pay back.

I already have solar panels - can you still help?

Absolutely. We can assess whether adding battery storage makes sense, optimise your tariff, review your export arrangement, and advise on EV charging integration.

What if I'm not planning to install anything right now?

That's fine. Many clients use the report to understand their options and plan ahead. The data doesn't expire, so you'll know exactly what to do when you're ready.

Do you sell or install equipment?

No. We're completely independent. We don't take referral fees or commissions from installers. Our recommendations are based solely on what's right for your home.
